Background
We are all from a new town. Where? Well they are all the same. A town thrown up with no thought and little money. “Children of the prefab”. We are not talking fancy Barrett homes, we are talking thrown up in a month, kicked a hole through the wall into your sisters room when you were 12, council crap.
But hey, we are not down about it, its just the way it is. Life is great; it’s what you make of the journey that counts!
Musically we are as diverse as they come. We have been through our mom’s record collection, bypassed Barry Manalo and found the good stuff. There is only one real rule of thumb and that’s if you get the chicken neck on, then it’s a winner.
Taking influence from the world we grew up in has been the main focus. Talk about what you know not the riches you wish you had. This is us, dragged up from the gutter, fake action man for Christmas, Adidas 4 stripe wearing misfits, but proud of it!
In short if you take some phat bass, mashed beats and serve it upon a bed of scratching and top it with a lick of lyrical madness you get “newtownbreaks”!
